Photographer and Science Researcher

I'm a photographer and science researcher from Brooklyn, New York. I went to Bard College in 2014 where I studied photography and biology. After graduating I did several years of Neuroscience research at Columbia University.

I've always been fascinated with understanding how images are created, deconstructed and reconstructed to give meaningful representations of our world. I studied how cells in the visual system wire up during brain development (Mason Lab, 2018) and how neurons encode and transform visual information, focusing on color vision (Behnia Lab, 2018-2021).

My art is highly inspired by my science background. I write science-fiction and several of my photo series are paired with stories, (Hypatia-99-N2 and WiFE). I also do fashion photography, creative shoots for musicians and brands, and have directed and filmed music videos, (Gabriel Da Rosa 2023, Samantha Urbani 2023, Mia Moretti 2023, Wtrgrl 2023, Chaos Chaos 2017 and 2019).
